1. Going back back to cali cali

So I am in California for a week, mostly to get a set of leathers for the upcoming race season, but also to get a bit of skating in… (CA being a sort of skate mecca and all)

Today I skated this road in Laguna Beach, kinda busy but super fun, my skating has taken a bit of a knock after spending 3 months snowboarding and not skating at all! Hopefully my time in CA will help things reach some sort of level similar to that of before the snowboard season!

I also skated this guy’s hill - Mike Fitter - Easier than the Kevin/James hill, and wider too, both are sick, skating around here is sick, hopefully I’ll get to skate Malibu, that is where all the bombing goes down…

Leathers from NJK, takes them a week to make them, stoked to finally be aero!

  2. Pretty much the raddest thing..

  3. Snowboarding for the Winter (southern hemisphere Summer!) hence the lack of activity. These 4 pics pretty much sum it up (minus the days spent working in the restaurant, which is most days)

  5. Suits & Skateboarding

The suits and corporate soul suckers have landed on the shores of our peaceful past-time. Trustfunded dickheads with lifestyle brands driven by money, pillaging and undercutting everything that is skateboarding.

Skateboarding will thankfully outlast their brief interest, as profit will eventually dip and their hip scene will find something else to suck the life out of.

    fuckit

ps: I call skateboarding skateboarding, whether it is long or not. Life is too short to worry about semantics like that

Prototyping a new topmount, what do you think? The idea is an all round topmount freeride and bombing board with a bit of versatility!

The board is made out of the freeride mold ( slight rocker 7mm ) and concave of 1.4cm

This is looking pretty rad, heard a rumour of a similar all terrain board from Fibretec but using the Flying Pan micro-drop mould… YES!

South African sessions in the Fibretec Van!

    Rad van, rad sessions!

This is why we love skateboarding in Switzerland!

Too sick! Ben flowing through a sick right hairpin, too stoked to get back to CH next year!

  9. Rad stuff floating around tumblr :)

(for the record, the photo was last years 1st quali run at Hot Heels Africa. Unseasonal tailwind + too much ampage saw me walking out of that corner!)

I’ve conducted some investigations into the mythical substance of Steeze, and how different wheels manipulate it in various distinctive ways to generate speed and traction. Three riders and their wheels were investigated, experiments were conducted, and the results are a triumph of modern science. Here’s Matt with his Abec 11 Centrax.
